Policy Council Meeting — Wednesday, August 12, 2026

The Monarch Learning Center Policy Council will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM in Room 3, 5307 Cedars Road, Redding. Agenda items include three resolutions for action — Resolution 2026-16 (Summer Warrants), Resolution 2026-17 (45-Day Budget), and Resolution 2026-18 (LCAP) — along with beginning-of-year reports.

Policy Council meetings are open to the public. Any member of the community may address the council for up to five minutes on any issue. If action is requested on an item not listed on the agenda, state law requires the item be set for a future meeting agenda (Government Code 54954.2). The next Policy Council meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2026.

Policy Council Meeting Minutes Now Available

Minutes from the June 12 Policy Council meeting are now posted. The council approved the 2026–2027 budget with increased revenue from higher enrollment, approved LCAP updates including $28,000 for P.E. staffing, and adopted Proposition 30 funding for teacher salaries. The California dashboard was also reviewed, with all standards confirmed as met. The next Policy Council meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2026.

Open Enrollment for 2027–2028 School Year Now Available

Monarch Charter School is now accepting enrollment packets for the 2027–2028 school year. As a public charter school with no attendance boundaries, families living in Shasta County or its contiguous neighboring counties are welcome to apply. Visit our enrollment page or contact the school office to get started.
