Help make decisions for your child's school. The Policy Council meets monthly, works with administration, votes on policies and approves budgets, and parents serve as class representatives. Elections are coming up: sign up in the school office to run for class representative for your student's classroom.

School picture day is Friday, September 25, 2026. Every student will be photographed during the school day. Watch for order forms coming home with your student, and see the flyer for details in English and Spanish.

Minutes from the September 9, 2026 Policy Council meeting are now posted in the Document Library. The council approved Resolution 2026-19 (Warrants) and Resolution 2026-20 (Budget and unaudited actuals), set the Fall Festival for October 30 and asked families to help rebuild the festival games lost to the winter flooding, and announced that Policy Council election flyers are going home. The next meeting is October 14, 2026.

Policy Council meetings are open to the public. Any member of the community may address the council for up to five minutes on any issue. If action is requested on an item not listed on the agenda, state law requires the item be set for a future meeting agenda (Government Code 54954.2). The next Policy Council meeting is scheduled for October 14, 2026.
View Full AgendaOur students have planned wonderful field trips for 2026–2027, including Turtle Bay, Shakespeare in Ashland, Science Camp, the Whiskeytown environmental day camp, and a pumpkin patch. To make those trips happen, Monarch is selling Quick Quack car wash passes online. After you buy, a code arrives by email that works at any Quick Quack location, and nearly half of every pass goes straight to the field trip fund.

The council adopted the May and June minutes, approved Resolution 17-2026 (Summer Warrants) and Resolution 18-2026 (45-Day Budget), and heard beginning-of-year reports, including current enrollment of 97 students with a waiting list.

The council approved the 2026–2027 budget with increased revenue from higher enrollment, approved LCAP updates including $28,000 for P.E. staffing, and adopted Proposition 30 funding for teacher salaries. The California dashboard was also reviewed, with all standards confirmed as met. The next Policy Council meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
